Construction Engineer


DL consulting sprl is an engineering and design office, located in Waterloo, active primarily in construction and in varying areas of expertise.

Its main activity sectors are steel and concrete structures in the field of mobile telephone (rooftop masts, pylons) and structures for supporting industrial equipment (platforms, storage systems).

DL Consulting Sprl is looking for a Construction Engineer (male/female).

Job description

As a consequence of the development of its design office activities, DL Consulting is recruiting an Engineer/Master in Construction who will join the existing team.

As a member of the design office, you are in charge of the structural and infrastructure calculations, material strength,… (office work) and on-site measurements and expertises.

The ratio ‘office and on the construction site work’ is 80% and 20%.

Under the supervision of the design office Lead and the Management Team, you will ensure the execution and the follow-up of projects that have been assigned to you. This includes making calculation notes and carrying out expertise in steel structures (telecoms pylons or small rooftop masts).

Job requirements

  • You have a Master in construction (ideally Industrial Engineer)
  • You have 1 to 5 years experience in a similar sector. If you have just graduated, you have to demonstrate a strong affinity in some key areas such as material strengh (e.g. : internship) and proficiency in a calculation software.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • You are skilled and interested in structure calculations
  • Proficiency with calculation softwares, preferably Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis
  • You are able to work with DAO tools, preferably Autocad (2D) to take measurements, reading plans and small diagrams,…
  • You are ready to work outside (sometimes under difficult weather conditions)

  • Technical English is required
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of Dutch (spoken/written) is a plus
