Construction Technician

Intro

DL consulting sprl is an engineering and design office, located in Waterloo, active primarily in construction and in varying areas of expertise.

Its main activity sectors are steel and concrete structures in the field of mobile telephone (rooftop masts, pylons) and structures for supporting industrial equipment (platforms, storage systems).

We also offer our customers, industries or private clients, a variety of expert services on construction sites in order to provide them with the best solutions for their needs.

DL Consulting Sprl is looking for a Construction Technician (male/female).

Main tasks

As a construction technician and after a short training period.

You will go on site in order to :

  • Carry out inspections and technical expertises (accompagnied by an assembler in steel structures in charge of small corrective duties)
  • Take the necessary on-site measures for the preparation of calculation notes
  • Draw rough sketches of existing structures
You are also able to follow structural reinforcement projects. In this context, you are thus able to :

  • Plan the different steps of a project
  • Control the part fabrication plans or draw them with Autocad 2D
  • Place the orders
  • Go on site to verify the proper execution of the project
  • Perform profitability calculations after projects

Job requirements

  • Bachelor in construction or similar experience
  • Required experience : 0 to 5 years
  • Driver’s license B. You like to travel throughout Belgium
  • Comfortable with working at heights (after being trained)
  • Sharp, practical, accurate and organized
  • Eager to work on site (telecom building sites)
  • Basic knowledge of material strength
  • Excellent skills in Word, Excel and Autocad
  • Good knowledge of French (spoken and written)
  • Basic knowledge of English (written)
  • Fluency in Dutch (spoken and/or written) is a plus
  • Team player, you like to work on your own on the construction sites, but also in the office
